MC ZULU & Megasoid – Student Riot / Free Newsletter Download

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

This is ME trying to organize things before the next 3 completed projects come out.
Organization… and Me…OK, Quit laughing.

ANYWAY, everyone on my e-mail list will receive this track as a part of my experiment.
MC ZULU & Megasoid – Student Riot

I myself was very proud of the lyrics. It is about the leader of a student uprising double crossing his followers for a payoff… Did that really happen?.. FK if I know…! But why the hell does every Reggae song have to be strictly about guns/girls & ganja?

The track is by Montreal group Megasoid. The term Lazer Bass was actually coined because of their music. Ultimately Megasoid did not keep working together. Hadji Baraka is a part of the group Wolf Parade. Rob Squire aka “Sixtoo” now produces and does art under the name Prisongarde. Still as Megasoid they had a rather significant impact modern day electronic music.

Since they never formally released this track, I have had it remixed by BIONIK and Radiohiro..
You know how I feel about remixes: (ahem)

“Play the music that the dance people prefer, still Dem fickle and dem change like the weather, But TIMELESS are the vibes and the words with the sound.”
