In early 2011, close to the VERY beginning of Libya’s “Occupy” movement… Muammar Ghaddafi ordered his troops to open fire on the crowd. Remember this was soon after Egypt was turned over by similar demonstrations. In doing this he proved the people had a valid point; but why worry about a few insignificant rebels, when you got away with funding the killing of Israel’s Olympic athletes in Munich? (1972).

At the end of a long and protracted skirmish with the more militant among his detractors, the “Libyan Strongman”, as he has been refered to, was dragged through the dirt… beaten… sodomized with a knife..(dayum)… and ultimately shot in the head, out back,… like a rabid dog. His corpse was paraded through the streets of Libya for a week, defiled and spit on. There is no shortage of disturbing YouTube footage to go around. I cringed when I saw it, but really..? Sic Semper TYRANNIS.

Ghaddafi took power in 1969 and it’s been downhill ever since. Peoples’ limbs were cut off for petty offenses, dissidents would turn up missing and he considered himself a virtual Angel Investor when it came to funding terrorism. Ghaddafi managed to stay on top even after helping orchestrate the Lockerbie bombing of Pan Am Flt 103 (1983). Reagan bombed Libya in an attempt to get him out, I remember it being reported that Ghaddafi’s 2 year old daughter was killed in the air strikes. Yet he remained. That was my first realization that in a war, neither side could ever be completely right.

The Obama administration’s masterful slight of hand employed while unseating Muammar will go down in history. They fortified rebels, conducted air strikes, and pretty much kept the hell out of the way. It may have been cool how Ghaddafi called for Mandela’s release early on.. Cool how he mandated that women be treated equally in Libya, and TRAINED legions of them to WHOOP A.S.S., then made them his bodyguards.

Let me catch this fool, before he trips on that damn circus tent he has on.

NOT COOL how he would mix pastel green with camouflage one minute and dress like Michael Jackson the next. He should have been placed under arrest for that. It’s obvious that if the Rebels didn’t get him, eventually the fashion police would have thrown his ass under the jailhouse.

Muammar Ghaddafi/Khadafy/Qaddafi took power in a bloodless coup, but dragged thousands of families through hell and back. Ultimately he met the worst end imaginable after 42 years in charge.
